Please note: Since July 2016, a Sustainable Tourism Tax is imposed by the Balearic Government and varies between €0.50 and €4 per person per day plus 10% VAT. This Eco Tax is not necessarily included in the villa price, as it is subject to the size of your registered party, the age of persons, the season and the length of your stay. Es Cubells

Es Cubells is a very peaceful and quiet place, away from the main roads and with beaches that are difficult to access. The main buildings in the village are a convent of the Theresian nuns on the edge of the village, which is closed to the public, and a church on the edge of the cliff. The origins of the church date back to the nineteenth century, when the Carmelite Francisco Palau was exiled to Ibiza. Known as Pare Palau and famous for being a hermit in Es Vedra, he built the chapel that later became the church. To the right of the church is a small park with a bust in honour of Pare Palau. The place has a few bars, a small shop and a modest cultural centre. There is also a monument on the cliff representing a Llaüt, the traditional Ibizan boat.

The most remarkable thing about this tiny enclave is the fantastic view of the sea and the cliff. There are also beaches nearby that are less difficult to access but not as busy, such as Cala des Cubells, Cala Ses Boques or Llentrisca, and a little further on Porroig and Es Torrent.

There are several restaurants in the village where you can eat, such as the Es Cubells restaurant and the Llumbi Bar. While Cas Mestre and Ses Boques are on the outskirts of the village, these are right in the town.
